The senior living design field encompasses a variety of different levels of care ranging from independent living to long term care facilities that each has their own specialized needs and functions. In addition to traditional retirement projects, DesignWorks has also found a niche working with religious organizations to create homes that better serve their aging populations.
Today's retirement facilities have a universal desire to have interior environments that are attractive and non-institutional in appearance, yet are still durable and easy to maintain. And the next wave of older adults are demanding even higher levels of finish and design, as well as increased amenities.
We feel strongly that the interior environment can have a big influence an individual’s behavior. A well-designed facility can enhance a person's physical and psychological well being. We have a special desire to address the unique challenges facing aging individuals today. Our designs can help promote independence, and support the health and socialization of the residents. Our designs also address the needs and concerns of the staff, as well as the residents' families. DesignWorks understands the unique needs of today’s healing environments and can provide better solutions for more responsible care facilities.
...beyond aesthetics
“Many thanks for the superb job you did for us as our Interior Design Specialist. Your talent, integrity, and commitment to beauty are reflected in the aesthetical taste of all of the rooms at the renovated and newly built departments at Franciscan Courts.”
